Weekly Check-In: 11 Weeks

Stats:

How far along:
11 weeks
How big is baby: Lime
Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Total weight gain:
+3 pounds
Maternity clothes?
Yep!
Belly button in or out?
In
Sleep:
It's good when I get into a comfortable position. But I guess I was exhausted last night because I got 11 hours of sleep--minus the two bathroom breaks.
Best moment this week:
Movements and heartbeats, oh my!
Food cravings:
I have "at this moment" food cravings.
Food aversions:
They come and go. Right now it's anything with vegetables.
Symptoms:
RLP--round ligament pain; even bigger boobs, fatigue, some nausea; but that's slowly going away, movement!
Movement:
Yep! I first felt flutters on 10/21; I just felt two full blown kicks, and said "whoa!" during nursing report and everyone looked at me. I wasn't expected it at all. Later I walked away, rubbed my tummy and said "Thank you baby for letting me know your still doing alright."
Gender:
Thinking it's a girl, but trying not to get my hopes up!
What I'm looking forward to:
Anatomy Scan
What I miss:
Not feeling so exhausted.
Milestones:
Found the heartbeat at home! Doctor chased the little one around and found it's heartbeat a few times, then he got it cornered for about 30 seconds, long enough to count it: 174bpm
Next appointment:
November 22nd @ 10am-- We will schedule the anatomy scan at this appt. YAY!

2nd Doctor's Appt & Mr. Gabers....

Had our second appt. today. It came and went quickly. I am up 3 pounds :( But I guess that's not too bad for almost being out of first trimester huh? My blood pressure is perfect at 114/70. And I'm guessing no protein in my urine, or they would have said something. So, so far so good with no pre-eclampsia this pregnancy. Of course, it wouldn't appear this soon anyway, but I'm keeping my hopes up.

Dr. P had to chance the little one around to finally corner it and get a good heartbeat. It was kinda funny. It was beating nice and strong at 174 bpm. Absolutely perfect. No anatomy scan scheduled yet. We go back on 11-22 for our 15 week check-up and will schedule it then. Boooo... haha, I want to know what is growing inside of me already. Oh well, I guess I can wait a tad bit longer.

Josh & Gabe came along for the ride this time, since something other than a pap and pelvic was going to happen. Dr. P also checked Gabe over, since he's been running a 103 degree fever. No ear infections or red throat, and lungs are clear. Just a virus, that's been spreading like wild fire.

Poor Gabe. I feel so horrible for him when he's sick. He just lays around and whines. No playing, no eating. And mostly sleeping. He woke up crying around 8am this morning, and laid with me on the couch until my appt. Then went right to bed around 11:15am. He woke up around 1:30ish and he's back down again at 2:45pm. He doesn't do well sickly. Lets just hope it only last until tonight, and tomorrow he's back to himself... I really don't want to have to take off work. He had it yesterday, so I'm thinking it's probably a 48-72 hour bug. But we'll see.

I couldn't help myself....

Yes, it really is that stupid GenderMaker test. I couldn't help myself. It turned pink, so I guess we will find out if it's correct or not. lol

Weekly Check-In: 10 Weeks!!!

Stats:

How far along:
10 weeks
How big is baby: Prune
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

Total weight gain:
 Give or take a few....
Maternity clothes?
Yep, full blown maternity clothes already!?!?!
Belly button in or out?
In
Sleep:
It's good when I get into a comfortable position. But I guess I was exhausted last night because I got 11 hours of sleep--minus the two bathroom breaks.
Best moment of the week:
Hearing that beautiful heartbeat! I'm trying to limit myself to every other day, but for the first few days I did it every day :) It's been running 160-165. Oh and we are moving to a bigger place!!! (We also found that out)
Food cravings:
I have "at this moment" food cravings. But I do crave those mango-pineapple smoothies on a daily basis. Hey at least it's (for the most part) healthy.
Food aversions:
They come and go. Right now it's anything with vegetables. I'm loving fruit, particularly peaches. MmmMmm. But the thought of a salad makes me gag!
Symptoms:
Big boobs, RLP, some nausea but that's pretty much gone. Main one is fatigue. Thankfully Josh doesn't mind picking up the slack, but I don't think I've actually cleaned in 2 months.
Movement:
None that I can feel
Gender:
Hoping for a girl :) But a boy would be great too. I have a feeling its a girl...just like when I had Gabe. But maybe it's just the desire, haha
What I'm looking forward to:
Listening to it's heartbeat so I know it's okay. I hate this part of pregnancy when I have no clue whats going on in there.
What I miss:
Not feeling so exhausted.
Milestones:
Found the heartbeat at home! So beautiful
Next appointment:
October 24th at 11am! We should hear the heartbeat this appt. YAY!!!

Today is a good, good day!!!

I woke up feeling "not pregnant"...and almost convinced something went wrong early on and in two weeks at my next appt. I would be devastated. But then, I also thought...hmmm let's see if I can prove myself wrong.

So I got out my handy dandy doppler, and I went on a mission. I completed that mission today :-)!!!!!

Little one sounded amazing... I can't stop smiling. It's hearbeat was a strong 160bpm. How beautiful is that???

Even better, my risk of miscarriage dropped from 10-15% (in reality 1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage so I see it more like 25% chance, but whatever that's what the doctors say, so I'll go with it) to 1-3%.

Pretty amazing day!
