Gabe Cuteness

Bathtime Fun!

I love his smile! He's a sweetheart!

He picked out his outfit (sans pants)

His outfit complete...can you figure out his favorite color?

Weekly Check-In: 29 Weeks

Stats:

How far along:
28 weeks
How big is baby: Acorn Squash
At 29 weeks, she’s not just moving a lot, she’s also plumping up. And as she continues to put pressure on your digestive system, you’re going to feel the effects: hemorrhoids, heartburn, pelvic pain and frequent urination are all common at this stage in the game.

Total weight gain:
+22 pounds
Maternity clothes?
Yep!
Belly button in or out?
OUT!!!!
Sleep:
Absolutely sucks. No other way to explain it. And I really don't get up and pee except MAYBE once a night--if I had drank a large amount of water before bed. It's the fact that my hips hurt so extremely bad that I literally can't roll over from my right side-to back-to left side. I end up feeling like they are going to be torn apart--so instead if I'm on my right side, I roll onto my belly and get on my hands and knees at the same time, then plop to my left side. I'm sure it's quite funny to watch, but it's very painful for me.
Best moment this week:
Passing my 3-hour GTT; Whoot Whoot, no gestational diabetes! Oh and my anemia has stabilized so I won't need a blood transfusion or anything crazy like that. I also got her synthetic diapers prepped and put in her changing table... just have to prep her natural fiber diaps--and we'll be set. *The reason I haven't prepped her natural fiber diapers yet is because it's a LONG process. I have to wash and dry them 5x in order for the natural oils to be washed off the fibers, with 6-8 washed being when they are at their highest absorbency. Synthetic fabric/fibers don't have these oils, which is why I got them done, since you have to just wash and dry them to be prepped.
Food Cravings:
Oreos. This little girl LOVES them. :)
Food Aversions:
Carbonated beverages. Others come and go on a day to day basis. Oh I'm not sure if it's necessarily an aversion, because I'm not eating it, but left over foods make me gag...just looking at them. Blech!
Symptoms:
Growing belly, lots and lots of movement, Food cravings/aversions, fatigue, insomnia, nesting
Movement:
Constant movement! I think she's head down, but sometimes I'm not sure because I'll feel a kick in 3 different places. It's almost like she is kicking me in each side of the ribs with both legs then I'll feel her head bump up against my cervix. Or at least that's what I think is happening. She's a crazy girl!
Gender:
Miss Kellie Rain
What I'm looking forward to:
Truthfully....not being pregnant anymore. I'm just about done. My back hurts constantly, my legs are horribly swollen and my hands are getting bad too. Im so tired... ugh, I just want to meet her!
What I miss:
Sleep, comfort, not feeling like a beached whale.
Milestones:
My biggest milestone is that I'm not on bed rest yet. I was on bed rest with Gabriel at 28 weeks until I delivered at 37 weeks when I was induced.
Next appointment:
March 5th, 2012 @ 11am

Crib, Bow holders, bouncer

Up close of the crib & bedding

Inside the crib
Her sleep sheep
Changing station, bow holders, window treatments, diaper pail

Changing station & decal, her owl (piggy) bank

View from the changing station

Top of dresser, Angelcare Monitor, shoes, owl (piggy) bank

Two of the custom drawer handles...

Well there you have it. Her nursery is complete. Well it won't be complete until she is here, but it's as complete as it is going to get for at least the next 9 weeks.

Weekly Check-In: 28 Weeks/7 Months!

Stats:

How far along:
28 weeks
How big is baby: Rutabaga

At week 28, baby is breathing (it’s amniotic fluid, not air, but it still counts) and even showing brain activity.
Total weight gain:
+22 pounds; I gained 7.5lb last month, blah....
Also, doctor measured me... At 27 weeks I was measuring 32 weeks. Yep, 5 weeks. She's gonna be a big baby!
Maternity clothes?
Yep!
Belly button in or out?
OUT!!!!
Sleep:
Absolutely sucks. There is no nice way of saying it. My hips and back hurt horribly and sometimes I feel like I can't breathe, so it takes a good 30-45 minutes of rolling back and forth, moving and adjusting pillows. It's so very annoying. I sleep with 4 pillows currently, and will be purchasing a body pillow in the next 24 hours.

Best moment this week:
I pretty much have Kellie's nursery done! Just waiting on her dresser (which is suppose to be delivered tomorrow) and a few decals to put up then I'll be done. When I'm done, I'll post pictures!
Food cravings: Oreos....ohhhmmmgeee I love them right now. And did you know they make ice cream bars??? Yep, they are amazing.
Food aversions:
Carbonated drinks, fried foods... oh and she HATES Mexican.

Symptoms:
growing belling, food aversions/cravings, movement, fatigue, and swelling.
Movement:
Tons of movement! All day long it seems like. I get nervous when I don't feel her because she is usually constantly moving
Gender:

What I'm looking forward to:
Truthfully....not being pregnant anymore. I'm just about done. My back hurts constantly, my legs are horribly swollen and my hands are getting bad too. Im so tired... ugh, I just want to meet her!
What I miss:
Not feeling so fat, being able to sleep better, and not feeling so worn out and lazy.
Milestones:
Hearing her heartbeat, starting to feel movement, finding out it's a healthy, but shy little girl; Viability Day!; starting on her nursery; getting to 3rd tri!

I sleep with 4 pillows currently, and will be purchasing a body pillow in the next 24 hours.

Best moment this week:
I ordered everything to complete her nursery today (except the nightlight only because it's out of stock at the moment)...and it'll all be here Friday (except her dresser because it takes an additional 2-3 extra processing days, plus the 2day shipping--so it won't arrive until next week).

I also made it to 3rd trimester! :-) 2 down, 1 to go!

Oh and the cutest thing last night. Josh got home last night night and he asked Gabriel for a kiss. Gabe went and gave him one, then I asked for a kiss...and he gave me one. Then I said, "Can you give your baby sister a kiss?" and he came over to my belly, lifted up my shirt and kissed my belly. I absolutely melted.
Food cravings:
Oreos....ohhhmmmgeee I love them right now.
Food aversions:
Carbonated drinks, fried foods... oh and she HATES Mexican. With Gabe I ate there almost daily (they would actually already put in our orders for drinks and food the moment we walked in the door) and she absolutely hates it. The last two times I've eaten there it's been vomited right back up....boo.
Symptoms:
growing belling, food aversions/cravings, movement, fatigue, and swelling.
Movement:
Tons of movement! All day long it seems like. Sometimes she is breech others she is head down. She does flips multiple times a day, it's crazy! A few nights ago I was laying in bed on my right side and could feel her foot stick out over and over again...it was almost as if I could grab it. Yep, made a momma emotional.
Gender:
Miss Kellie Rain
What I'm looking forward to:
Passing my GTT tomorrow; then will be starting every two week appt. here soon!!!! 13 weeks until my due date (10 weeks if I am induced like I was with Gabriel--which means it could be less then 2 1/2 months away AHHHHH!!!) I just want to snuggle her and I can't wait until Gabriel meets her.
What I miss:
Not feeling so fat, being able to sleep better, and not feeling so worn out and lazy.
Milestones:
Hearing her heartbeat, starting to feel movement, finding out it's a healthy, but shy little girl; Viability Day!; starting on her nursery

Weekly Check-In: 26 Weeks

Stats:

How far along:
26 weeks
How big is baby: Lettuce
At week 26, baby may be interfering with your sleep, messing with your brain (forget much?), and even be giving you a stress headache or two. It’s normal to be experiencing some mild swelling, but around this week, it’s important to watch out for swelling severe or sudden -- it could be the sign of a dangerous condition called preeclampsia.

Total weight gain:
+14.5 pounds (Probably more than that, but I don't like weighing myself at home)
Maternity clothes?
Yep!
Belly button in or out?
OUT!!!!
Sleep:
It's getting bad :-( It takes me forever just to roll over in bed, and when I get comfortable my arm falls asleep and I have to change positions again, or I have to pee. Humph....I want sleep!!!! And I feel like I'm in first trimester all over again. I'm so exhausted and have so much fatigue again! Yep, second trimester is coming to a close--that's the first indicator for me!
Best moment this week:
I got her decal and crib piece in the mail and got the crib and decal put up. I also hung her bow holders in the room. Now I'm just waiting on all the other stuff! I love decorating her room. And I got to decorate Gabriel's room too. He got his big boy bed back in his room (although he still sleeps in his crib) and he couldn't be more excited. We just need to get some hangers for his bookcases that Grandma made for him, and it'll finally be finished (again).
Food cravings:
Food....anything that has to do with food.
